New set of icons
The MIUI 12 brings new set of icons. The icons are similar to iPhone.
Dark mode 2.0
This feature works along the time of the day. From day to night the wallpaper changes its darkness gradually.
Also in MI UI 12 the phone automatically adjust the brightness of the font to reduce glare effect when the dark mode is turned on. Even contrast gets automatically adjusted according to the environment of user. This is done by ambient light sensor. This should improve legibility of text in low light conditions.
Major visual changes
the setting panel and core system information has been visualised allowing you to see the status of the system just by opening the tab. for example if you will open storage you will see the different kind of data just by visualising.
Xiaomi is calling this new feature as sensory visual design.
It will show graph like image so that you can have overall idea of your device things.
Notification panel
The notification panel has been redesigned.
It's similar to iPhone style. It has more colours on icons. Also user interface of notification panel is translucent. also the brightness slider gives the translucent effect.
Newly added animations
The animation new version of xiaomi Mi UI 12 has been added and it gives a smooth user experience. For example perfect vertical and horizontal screen rotation animation and system animations. There are a lot of visible redesign has been introduced in MI UI 12.
The new user interface will bring real time weather changes and it is play in the form of time lapse movie on the screen.

MI UI 12 will bring "super wallpapers". Super wallpaper name introduced by xiaomi. The wallpaper will give 3D like visualisation. When using dark mode the planet choosen will also enter in the night time there by improves the visible experience.

Xiaomi health tracking service
MIUI 12 we can now track activities like walking running cycling climbing stairs and just keeping their phones in their pockets.
All of this is done by xiaomi self developed "AI motion behaviour process ham algorithm" to record accurate health data. this artificial intelligence features not only saves power it also saves time.
Xiaomi also added sleep tracking facility.
He wants you to sleep with your phone on your pillow. It works by placing your phone on the pillow while you sleep. By this the company will help you to tell that how much you slept how deep you slept and whether you snored.
Artificial intelligence calling (AI calling)
xiaomi has its own artificial intelligence named"Xiao AI". It can automatically answer your calls if you allow. It is similar feature as Google call screening feature introduced in pixel 3.
Xiaomi told that after half year of testing AI assistant has answered 4 million calls for closed beta user.
User can use it manually or automatically.
it is not clear till now that the feature will available only in China or it will be available outside China.
Enhanced privacy service
you can now grant permission to apps only once or only why you are using them.
New user interface will bring features like to keep track of your application all in one place.
Photo sharing is also safer side.
When you share the image which contains sensitive data then the image sensitive data will be removed first.
Availability
Xiaomi told to start rolling stable version of Mi UI 12 by the end of June 2020. It has already opened beta testing program in China.
The update for MI UI 12 on eligible xiaomi devices will be arrive batch by batch. It is expected to release this update in three batches.
